Sunday laundry, simplified
Smart routines that cut your weekend chores in half, without cutting corners.
Sunday becomes a laundry day for most families because the week leaves no room. The mistake: trying to do all five loads in one afternoon. By load three, the dryer is full, the line is full, and folding falls into Monday.
The fix is to split the week, not the Sunday.
Wednesday.. One heavy load: towels, sheets, gym wear.
Wednesday. One heavy load: towels, sheets, gym wear. These items are the slowest to dry. Doing them mid-week means they hang overnight without rushing.
Friday evening. Colours load. Air-dries by Sunday morning naturally.
Sunday. Whites and delicates only. These are quick cycles, easy to fold, and feel like a fresh-start ritual rather than a chore.
The total laundry time stays the same. What changes is the mental load. No more "the whole house is upside-down on Sunday." And because each load is smaller, the wash is gentler, and the clothes last longer.
